Aelfflaed of Blackpool
Aelfflaed
Aelffled grew up in the neighborhood of Blackpool, a rougher part of Duibhlind where she learned her street smarts. Normally a shy quiet girl, she is also quite observant and was recruited by the The Antikathonum at a young age.
She spent her teen years training in Lutetia in the Antikathonum headquarters there, then traveling on various intelligence missions.
Her personality is not one of direct conflict, though she is quite capable of a combat role. Instead, she enjoys inserting herself into the good graces of those in power through excellent service and thereafter gathering information. Her skill did not go unnoticed and she was sent to Nassua as a long term station because of its proximity to Atlantica, and the flow of information through the pirate port.
When she arrived at Nassua, she quickly identified Johan Argentus der Große as a Thuringian agent, and excellent source of information.
The recent increase in K'Thonim activity has forced her to reveal herself to Johan, who has suspected her as a spy of some kind for a while (though just not for who). The Antikathonum have reluctantly begun to engage in actively buying K'Thonum relics for destruction, and allow her to represent herself as a "buyer for wealthy interested parties." She is well funded, and not above acting as a patron for adventuring parties into the ruins of Atlantica.
Since the leadership of the Antikathonum is currently experimenting with the idea of limited revelation of itself as an organization, and Aelfflaeds position is considered quite critical, she has been granted limited permission to reveal herself and the Antikathonum mission. She is aware this is dangerous and so is reluctant to do so.
