The Schwartzenjager

When Queen Herschlag finally succeeded in uniting her country under Thuringian rule diplomatically, the cash strapped nation could not afford too much in the way of a traditional army. Instead in her time roaming the land as an adventurer Queen Herschlag learned the effectiveness of combined efforts of different kinds of talents militarily. Her experience was that a smaller better trained force wielded correctly was far more effective than a larger army in many cases. To that end she commissioned the Schwartzenjager an elite military unit that uses combined arms and training.
These elite forces are trained to use their individual talents and abilities to work together and amplify their effectiveness, and they are capable of both covert and overt operations. When they deploy as a unit they show up in a force no smaller than 30, all in black and move with coordinated grace that speaks volumes about their training. However, when operating covertly they act in squads of 4 to 10, dress casually, and behave very individualistically. The core of a squad consists of one healer, one mage, one covert operations specialist, and one heavy arms specialist. No Schwarzenjager commander will release a squad without those minimum elements.
The Queen has found this force to be effective, and using a good intelligence network combined with the Schwartzenjager, she has been able to head off trouble that larger and hence more expensive armies could not. As the national treasury grows the queen has begun deploying these special forces on missions into the Western Ocean and beyond. In particular she has deployed a 3 covert squads to Nassau to establish a forward base of operations for the region.
In order to supplement Schwarzenjager pay, they are allowed to take on smaller side missions. This is always cleared through the commander first, who weighs the mission with the impact and reputation of Thuringia in mind.
We had no idea who we had aboard when we took them on, each of them by themselves were personalities to tell stories about. The crew loved them.
Then the pirates started chasing us and their somber faces and thousand yard stares kicked in. When the first pirates boarded 12 hours later, these guys didn't just defend the ship, they boarded the pirates instead! I had never put together a prize crew before, I am just a merchant captain after all. When we sold the pirate ship at the next port we split the money well enough that everyone walked away smiling. They are welcome aboard any time!

These guys sound scare indeed :D What kind of heavy weapons do they use for their specialist? What kind of magic?   I'd suggest you also split the text up into paragraphs, perhaps split with some quotes or something, to make it more readable <3   Great going, already at 16 prompts! :D

In this case a heavy arms specialist is someone whose training is purely combat in a variety of weapons and armors (like a D&D fighter).
