Conquests of the Shattered Coast
The Conflict
Prelude
The Makonian Republic was in need of resources to maintain their navy and population and with the cities on what is now the Heartlands using up most of the wood and food. they first expanded to what is now the Makonian Coast but further expansion was inevitable and they after a brief tussle with Ruval they found that eastern expansion was far easier. They assembled an armada and set sail.
Battlefield
The battles were fought on the islands and shores throughout the Shattered Coast.
The Engagement
Though the overall numbers of the people of the Shattered Coast outnumbered the Makonian Navy, they were not organised, allied or expecting the attack. This lead to the disciplined and well armed Makonian forces often outnumbering individual tribes or settlements and overwhelming them.
Outcome
The Makonian Republic established colonies throughout the Shattered Coast and taxed and occasionally enslaved the inhabitants.
Aftermath
The people of the Shattered Coast are still taxed to this day and they are now drafted into the navy too.
