Gnome
It can be said of the diminutive and long-lived Gnomes that their passions lie in the living of life itself. Every second of a Gnomes life can be spent in mad dashes, drunk off fancy, or wholly possessed by their latest passion. All trying to be more and know more than they did 5 minutes ago. Gnomish cities and districts are often abuzz with the clamour and chaos of discovery. Vials bubble, metal is folded into place, and mundane items are suffused with differing strands of technological energies in attempts to sate a natural curiosity. It's no surprise then, when an explosion rips shatters all the glass in a mile radius, or purple smoke billows from holes in the wall. Such setbacks are seen as lessons rather than abject failure. Unless a glass-shattering machine or purple smoke tincture were the desired ends. A Gnomes work is often their self-expression and as such they take both seriously. To a Gnome, the mysteries of the planes and multiverse are fine things to ponder in the long-term, but in the short term, there is no greater mystery than a locked door.
Basic Information
Biological Traits
Due to the nature of their experimentation gnomes are very wiley being able to duck for cover just before their experiment goes astray and blows a hole in their roof. Their technological advancements have even altered their makeup improving the life expectancy with potions and vaccines to an average age of 500 give or take a century. However, it is rare that a gnome lives this long given the risky and chaotic nature of their experimentation.
