Orc

The wastelands where the beasts roam is a tough and brutal environment for all but those best suited to it, and they are the orcs. Whether it is under one strong enough to unite them against another race or the constant infighting between themselves, battle is a way of life. They possess brutal cunning and cunning brutality and many a general have suffered defeats from underestimating the Orcs. Despite being outcasts and ostracised in times of peace the Orcs are usually the first contacted when there is a need for muscle. They are not beyond working with others, they have been known to lend their strength for pay and often find themselves in the company of mercenaries or adventurers. They stand seven feet tall and broader than men; their skins range from the greens of the thick jungles to the reds of the Badlands which they roam.

Biological Traits

Orcs are from typically one of two natural builds, those who are naturally tough due to the constant fighting and those who with good vision spotting the beasts of the wastes and jungles for food or survival. Those who interact with them often say that orcs are naturally defiant; of laws, of orders and even death. It is said to kill an orc is to stab it after it's dead. They are also naturally restless or resourceful finding energy to keep fighting when most others have resigned.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Red or grey orcs are typically from the wastelands whilst green orcs are from the Shattered Coast.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Orcs do not judge relationships based on the race of the partners but rather the physical prowess and skill in battle. It is an embarrassment in their culture for an orc to be in a relationship with a weak creature.

Origin/Ancestry

Two divergent groups of Orcs exist on the continent. Orcs originated from the wastes however over a thousand years ago a large migration broke through the mountain ranges and settled in the Shattered Coast.

An average of 7ft tall with almost all falling between 6'6 to 7'6

Average Physique

Orcs have the fastest metabolism of all the races, being able to put on muscle mass reasonably quickly. However, due to the ship faring nature and reduced amount of megafauna in the islands of the Shattered Coast, the orcs there are more likely to be a leaner than their wastelander counterparts.
