Fort Coriard

Description

Fort Coriard is one of the castles from the age before the Cataclysm. It is not in the best shape compared to other castles from that age.
The whole port appears to be taken back by nature, but its corridors and structure are still usable. This treatment by nature ensures, that Fort Coriard is technically invisible from Atocites. Raiders who decide to fly into the area near Coriard are quickly eliminated by Channelers who inhabit the fort.   Coriards stone walls served as the base on which Vines and other wood plants grew, further reinforcing its durability.
Of its 4 watch towers, only the one facing the sea is still usable, reinforced by tough vine plants with the unique flower facing the sea.
Wooden gates are a long time gone, but in their place grew massive trees that completely filled the place for doors. This resulted in no entry point to the Fort, Channelers who inhabit it simply climb the plants on the walls or straight up jump over.

Location

The position of Fort Coriard is perfectly hidden inside a dense forest in the east part of Atocitera, which even partially grow on the walls of the Fort. Fort Coriard is stationed on the cliff, with direct sight of the sea.
Under the cliff is a large sand beach, which is the only place from where the Coriard is directly visible.   In the past, a frequented road led to Fort Coriard, but it is now long gone as the Corruption boosted nature took over.

Inhabitants

Fort Coriard is inhabited by Channelers. Beings who were once humans, but grew beyond that definition by the constant abuse of Corruption and its influence.
Lead by a few extremely strong Channelers, the place serves as a sanctuary for freshly exiled people.
Those who come here find an opportunity to prove they do not regret using the Corruption and prove they are willing to use more of it. During the time provided to them, they need to grow self-sufficient and capable to last alone against anything that Atocitera can throw at them.
