Solkerror (Sole-ykeh-rr)

Description

Solkerror is the name of the lime-pink-cyan gas giant in the sky of Atocitera. Visible during the day and easily shadowing the majority of its night sky.
While some patterns seem to be stable, others constantly change and swirl around the atmosphere of Solkerror.   Atocitrera's orbit:
Atocitera as a moon has an elliptical orbit, but its orbit is not always the same. As Atocitera orbit around Solkerror, there are phases where the longer part of its trajectory is either facing the sun or overshadowed by Solkerror.   People of Atocitera came up with terms "long orbit" and "short orbit" when it comes to placing the Atocitera around Solkerror.
Short orbit is the part where Atocitera speeds up and goes around Solkerror in a week. The long orbit is the part where Atocitera spend the most time. Taking the rest of the month as it swing away from Solkerror and then back into short orbit again.
This results in Atocitera having very dark and cold winter months, caused by the long orbit traversing through Solkerror's shadow. Similarly, the summer happens when the long orbit is closer to the sun.

Phases

The Atocitera takes 50 days to orbit Solkerror. During which various phases of Solkerror's visibility help people estimate when will the long night hit as well as count the moons and years.    Three major noticeable phases are occasionally celebrated.   Full Solk:
Full Solk is the night during which Solkerror is complete. It still takes the majority of Atocitera's night sky, but it fills it with its beautiful presence, storms, and patterns. This night and the two days around it are often viewed as the most romantic nights in the month. During summer this phase takes longer as Atocitera is slowing down on the long orbit.   Half Solk:
While still beautiful in the sky, this phase of Solkerror signalizes that there are very few days remaining until the long night, or that the worst is gone and the warmer part of the month is coming.   The diminishing Half Solk tells people of Atocitera to brace themselves for the upcoming long night.
After the long night ends, the growing Half Solk brings hope to people, heralding the upcoming days of sunlight and prosperity   Nov - The long night:
Depending on the long orbit of Atocitera, the long night is a few days to two weeks of complete darkness as the Atocitera ends up being overshadowed by Solkerror for most of its month. Preventing any sunlight coming.
During winter nights, the long night is at its peak lasting its feared two weeks, while during summer the long nights pass quickly and are over as fast as in three days.

Effect on Atocitera

Atocitera is one of many Solkerror's moons. Due to this, the life on Atocitera notices the absence of sunlight during what is called the long night. It takes about 2 weeks for Atocitera to move out of the Solkerror shadow when the Atocitera's long orbit is away from the sun.
During this time, Solkerror is almost invisible, except for momentary storms and flashes of lightning in its atmosphere. Sunlight becomes absent and light itself becomes scarce as the whole ecosystem turns into low-light mode.   These long nights are a dangerous time to Raid. Raiders are not used to the deep night and are more often prey than hunters. Even then some Raiders go on raids in hopes of overwhelming the night's predators or to seize opportunity in otherwise dangerous environments.
