Veil Mirrors
Think again. Not only did we fail in the initial task to create a window to Flow Dimension, we instead created windows to somewhere entirely else.
And what else, no two windows seemed to be the same. How many more we can try before we run out of luck?
Description
Veil Mirrors are frames created from Resonin attuned to Veil Flow.They were originally meant to allow users to gaze into the Flow Dimension. This utility would allow easier tracking of Nodes, knowledge about present Flow, and unseen dangers lurking in the nearby area. Unfortunately, their effect is much different. The concentration of Veil is so high, that it created windows to unknown lands.
Creation
Veil Mirror by itself is just a frame. This frame is created using purely Veil Flow to cause Resonin to levitate. The floating Resonin is then used it in Flowsmithing to create the frame of the mirror. The Resonin is then attuned to Veil Flow even after it takes the shape of the mirror. Ensuring its ability to hold the concentrated Veil Flow.Use
In order for the mirror to be activated, it needs to be subjected to a vast quantity of highly concentrated Veil Flow. While the quantity can be supplied with numerous crystals, the concentration needed for activation requires a very skilled and focused Node Sentinel with the Veil node. When the Veil Flow is focused inside the mirror, upon reaching a certain concentration it stabilizes and creates a window. This window can be traveled from both sides, and last as long as the concentration of the Flow is undisturbed. This is why further study of them was canceled.Risks
The major risk of these mirrors comes from an absolute lack of understanding of how they work. Being a result of research with different goals, the researchers themselves did not understand what is going on.
Before they could decide to visit one of the unknown lands, something already found a way to them. Luckily the intruder was contained within the painting. However, a painting that came to life was definitely not what the researchers bargained for and further research was canceled before something worse found the breaches created by Veil Mirrors.
