Atramentum: a city of sin and shadow. Located on a planar border, an ethereal "thin spot", between the material United Polyzoic Concordat and the Kytonian Ecclesiarchy of the shadow realm, Atramentum is a murky city of speakeasies, jazz and crime. Where the occult is as restricted as the liquer and the cops are as crooked as the mobs that really run the show, one man, Detective Chiaroscuro Gray, stands in the shadows against the overwhelming darkness that threatens to plunge the city, and the UPC at large, into a war like no-one has ever seen before.
