Cael'nae River
The single river that runs through the Cael'nae Woods is in actuality 2 rivers, one flowing north into another river and one flowing south into the ocean. Commonly referred to as Cael'nae River by the general populace and The Twins by locals, their Sylvan names are Sim'ariae and Arn'arinae, which mean North Silver Whisper and South Silver Whisper respectively.
Geography
Originating from a lake at the exact center of Cael'nae Woods, Sim'ariae, the north river, flows north northwest, while Arn'arinae, the south river, snakes its way south through what was once the missing city. Generally peacefully flowing rivers, their strongest currents are within the boundaries of the dense primordial forest where they become dangerous rapids. The rivers emit a soft silver glow at night. At the northern mouth where it meets the other river there's a solitary bridge from the ancient highway, yet its not connected to any roads. Unknown to any but the inhabitants of Cael'nae Woods and their merfolk allies, the Dryads and Centaurs disassembled the road and lined the bottom of the river with the ancient warding stones from it using elemental magic and druidic magic to heal the land where the road was. The anti-evil runes were left intact and no evil can cross or enter the river. The arch of the bridge is too low for any watercraft to pass beneath and 3 sets of adamantine bars run vertically along the underside of it, preventing anything larger than fish from passing through.
Fauna & Flora
The shores of the rivers are abundant with various herbs, mushrooms, flowers and fruit bushes, all exhibiting curative properties. The rivers themselves are filled with a plethora of standard and exotic fish.
