This is where the miner dura broached the surface.
Rumors reach the dwarves of all corners that the prophicy was true.   By unamious decision the dwarven people elected Dura the Miner to be the first High King.   As time of the Ceremony drew close it was realized that Dura was a a female.   So she was appointed as the First High King and Queen of the Dwarven People.
They established Vellar Azgoth in 297.
The dwarves seal the gates to evaluate new races for 50 years.   
Gorden Blueaxe seems to be able to get a message through,as he has the only newly created mountain dwarf group within his city.
