Clouds

Week 3

You travel through a light blue and pink mist in the high-arc of Audiode and find yourself floating towards a softly glowing star.

Irecal

The star at the centre of this system, Irecal (pronounced eye-rek-all), has a dim glow with crescendos of bright light.

Cloud-17

Cloud-17, in some cultures known as the Ferris Wheel or the Fun Wheel, is a floating theme park and recreational palace. It orbits the star at a reasonable distance, and provides entertainment for the rich of the system and many from further afield.

Gelha

Gelha (pronounced ghel-hah) is a remarkable planet, known for its unusual cloud formations which look feathers. These clouds cover the planet and are the home to sky-based creatures who gain their nutrients from the atmosphere, never landing on the planet's surface.

Doluc

The three moons of Doluc (pronounced doll-luck) dance in dizzying orbits around the planet, wach one on a different trajectory. Beneath the moons, a curtain of pink clouds hides the surface from view.

Lision

Lision (pronounced liz-ee-on) is the name given to the two planets which orbit each other, and in turn orbit the Irecal. Lision is argued by some to be an illusion, some claiming that only one of the planets is real, but unable to agree on which one.

Potential Hooks

  • Sun Bursts

  • The bursts of solar energy from Irecal are becoming less regular, which is causing issues for the delicate ecosystems of the surrounding planets. No one knows why, but many lives depend on finding the reason and solving it.
  • Deathly Giggles

  • A group of travelling performers are causing a stir on Cloud-17 with rumours of people falling into fits of laughter and many never recovering.
