The Free Spirits of Myriad
While survivors across all of Aura were in the fight of their lives, the Myrias chanced across an oasis. Rising up out of the ground, an enormous circular mound of rock-faces hide something within. To their astonishment, within was a great clear blue lake, with island landmasses hosting cliffs, and fields of gorgeous flowers. The people of Myrias found shelter within this beautiful oasis, but it wouldn’t last. The Mists grew closer-and-closer, until eventually, Mist and monster swarmed over the cliffs and into their oasis. Just as disaster ensued, a young newborn girl stood before the horde of creatures, reached into the water, and spoke a few words. From the depths of the lake emerged a mighty sea serpent. A spirit of Aura who’s magic turned back the tide. That young girl became their Queen, and her ancestors have possessed a link with the sea serpent ever since.
Free of danger, protected by their King and Queen, and the Sea Serpent their family befriended, the people of Myrias are unburdened and free. Many Myrias are blessed with the ability to bend the waters of life, which possess the properties to heal and protect. The Myrias are free-spirited. They pursue personal passion, embrace self-expression, and chase their dreams at the expense of responsibility.
