Iron Isles

Demographics

Although there are a samll amount of non human ethnicities that can be seen in the Iron Isles, the vast majority are human, as they are the workers, the forge owners, and the vast majority of the primary merchants upon the isles.

Government

The Iron Isles are under direct government of the Pennant Isles whose King is none other than Wolfram of the Peaks. The Iron Isles fall under his jurisdiction, although his power is not inconsiderable, it certainly relies on his contingent of Griffon riders and his mercenary units of Manticore hunters.

Defences

The Iron Isles have their own fleet of frigates and galleons, as well as a regiment of Griffon riders, bounty hunters, warrior-miners, and levies, not to mention, ballistas that circle the high walls of the Town to fend off attacks from the air. There are very few wizards in the Iron Isles, but they do offer their services to the King in times of need.

Industry & Trade

The greatest trade of iron and iron ore is between that of the human and dwarven empires almost exclusively - with the Iron Isles and Thraxx Hold being the main contributors.

Infrastructure

The Iron Isles are the main source of iron in the human settlements, although the resource is primarily held and operated by the dwarves.

Assets

The Iron Isles have made themselves wealthy through the demand of the metal throughout the human kingdom, even thought the dwarven kingdoms hold, (at least for now), the upper hand in the availablility and distribution of iron, thus controlling the exacting price. The Iron Isles are home to many ships and Griffon riders and also Manticore hunters, as the Iron Isles are the manticores natural home.

Guilds and Factions

Almost all human Blacksmith guilds trace back to the Iron Isles, and the greatest of human blacksmiths have all been trained in these very places.

Architecture

As one might conceive, a great deal of the towns on the Iron Isles are in fact decorated with iron - from sculptures, to utilitarian items, to building components, nails, door hinges and of course armour and weapons. No greater amount of forges shall ye find in all of the human Empire than on the Iron Isles.

Geography

The Iron Isles consist of one large island surrounded by several other very small islands that in turn form part of the Shine Island collective and then further form part of the Pennant Isle Kingdom. All of these islands are rugged and mountainous and are often covered in snow for most parts of the year.
