The Chaxton

The Chaxton was once a great flying dwarven air galleon that fatefully crashed into the bay of Jetsam and remain to this day a derelict that has been repurposed into possibly the most popular tavern in all of Valencia.
The Chaxton performed one of the longest air voyages from Thrax Hold in the north to Jetsam in the south, but alas, that is where its journey ended. Through bad weather and monsterous attacks, the ship, carrying ores and ales made its way across plains, swamps forests and hills, under the command of Captain Thirdbeard the Red. Tirdbeard was said to have vailantly defeated the green forest wyvern of the great Silvan forests, the mountain harpies of Western Trove, and even eaten an entire catoblepas on the voyage was sadly killed in the fatefull crash, along with all his crew.
It is said that it was an air elelmental that caused the downing of the ship, although the details of how or why this happened remains a mystery, or at least a source of conjecture. Many bards and songwriters have so many versions, it has become almost a competition which story can either be the most convincing or the most outrageous.
Although the cannons were spiked to destruct before the Chaxton hit the ground, much of the cinnabar ore and even many of the barrels of ale survived, and while the cinnabar has since all been retrieved and distributed, many of the ale barrels still exist on the ship after it was converted into the Chaxton tavern by King Valencia although the price of such a tankard of the stuff would be more than enough to pay for a months lodging at the place.
Although the tavern does require a large amount of maintenance and constant repair, the ship provides much entertainment and merriment for the entire populace and traveller alike.
