The Scion Codex

In order to combat the powers of Necromancy, the following scripture is paramount:   Thou shalt not engage in the summoning, raising, resurrection, construction and animation of the dead and all forms thereof. Thou shalt not willingly engage in any form of demonic magic whatsoever. Thou shalt not knowingly unearth or otherwise disturb a grave or burial site, nor may you thereof take any item. Thou shalt not engage in any magical means, including the creation, use or possession thereof for the purpose of prolonging, inhibiting or otherwise altering the natural aging process. Thou shall not curse any being or item. Thou shalt not engage in any magical means, including the creation, use or possession thereof for the purpose of prolonging, inhibiting or otherwise altering the natural healing process. Thou shalt not engage in any magical means which cause or cure disease, decay or a permanent bodily affliction. Thou shalt not engage in any magical means, including the creation, use or possession thereof that manipulate or drain the life force of any being. Thou shalt not invoke the spirits of the dead for the purpose of divination nor engage in the practice of casting the bones, nor engage in the practice of haruspicy or any derivative thereof.   Any deviance from these commands is to derive the punishment of death upon cremation.

Purpose

The plague of undead is rife within the world and certainly the largest threat beyond any other petty war. Vampires and Liches, being at the very top of the undead heirachy, are the main foes, but necromancers, hags and witches also remain primary targets of the Inquisistion. It is the sole purpose to reduce the threat of those that abuse the power to heal, turning it instead into the power to reanimate and control the dead.
