Essilra is the centre continent of Auran. It is considered as such since it is rumored to be the location from which the great cataclysm started thousands of years ago. The continent is fractured into 4 main islands: Northrend: The northern most island is the largest of the four, containing lush forest all around with a mountain range dividing it in the middle. It contains the western Kingdom of Emacheon, one of the largest kingdoms on the continent, known for having the most diverse cultures and being the birthplace of The Great Hero. To the East, tucked into the forest is the Elven fortress, where they took shelter amongst the Wildmother's blessing. The Elves are not pleased with Western kingdom claiming their rightful homeland but prosper none the less. Nowadays, they welcome other races and species who respect and appreciate the Wildmother's blessing, such as Halflings and Firbolgs. Northrend is known to have many secret gem locations that have been spiritual landmarks to the elves for generations. It is also home to the harbor town ..... known for being the home of the lawless who profit off the Dredge Sea. It is out of the jurisdiction of Emacheon as declared by the Elves, but also too far away for them to enforce their own laws. Dreasten The eastern most island is well known for what used to be considered the longest mountain range in all the lands before New Westeria was finally explored. It is home to the Dwarf and Gnome colonies who buried themselves deep inside the mountains whilst they waited for the Cataclysm to end. In the center lies the grand entrance to the Dwarven Kingdom of Shatterock. It's huge statues and beautifully crafted towers welcome all, but the true beauty is left to the Dwarves alone, deep inside the heart of the mountain. To the South lies The Great Parting city. An entry to a holy land full of deep canyons and wide soaring plateaus. They so those who complete the great trial are offered boons from the ..... god himself. Further south is the Fortune Mountains. This place is well defended from it's enemies with Aetherwatch guarding the entrance to the humble city of Rockswiddle. The Southlands The southern most island is one of desert and rock. Tales tell of the Scorchson torching the land, drying it's rivers and decimating it's flora and fauna. It is now considered the territory of the Bralux Dynasty. The Braluxs were a ruthless Orc clan who dominated the land after the cataclysm and built it's capital on the inland water source, forcing people into servitude or be banished into the wastelands to perish. The other remaining civilizations had no choice but to flee to the coasts where even there, they were not free from the Bralux rule. The Braluxs had many children and made them all fearless warriors who serve in the largest army in the continent. They often push their bounds to other lands to pillage and siege, making no friends with their neighboring kingdoms. New Westeria The western most island is the newest. With rich, unexplored forests and a mountain range expanding it's entire western coast, it has no leader and very few inhabitants. The other lands consider it to be very valuable but the Kingdom of Emacheon has consistently been the best fitted to claim it under their rule. They fought hoards of armies from The Southlands to claim it as their own, but it's proven hard to maintain.
