Cultist
A cultist or occultist is someone that worships Demons and/or the god Beliar.
In stories they are often portrayed wearing dark cloaks and robes with strange masks or blood upon their face, sitting in dark dungeons raising their cups chanting "hail darkness".
This is rarely the case, this picture is only true during some of their annual or monthly rituals. Instead they are the ordinary citizens to be found in any community.
They may be the local miller, a stone worker, the smith or a community leader. As with other members of the community, they attend church and pray to Innos or Adanos (albeit uttering devotion to Demons within the church’s privy), pay tribute to the law (but silently protest beneath their breath) and do their best to blend into common society (carefully hiding their dark tattoos or markings beneath a veneer of politeness and carefully cut clothing).
It is only when the sun goes down and their windows are shut when they give praise to their Demon lords. Living a double life, they take great pains to hide their affiliation, as Inquisitors and others are always on the lookout for heretics.
