First battle between Nrork and Cillland

An organised army of orcs from Nrork crossed the border into Cillland.

The orcs of Nrork advanced from the south in an unusually organised fashion, mainly heavy infantry but also a few crude ballistae on wheeled platforms were used.
The humans of Cillland were taking a defensive stance using Medium Infantry and Archers; they were prepared with ballistae, catapults and wooden spike walls.

The battlefield consisted of rocky hills and fields.

Conditions

The orcs of Nrork attacked early in the morning, it was a cool sunny morning.

Outcome

Although ready, the humans of Cillland underestimated the orcs of Nrork. Orcs normally fight using skirmishing tactics and small warbands that attack weak flanks, this was a proper army attacking head on.
The humans of Cillland were overrun and had to retreat north.

Aftermath

The orcs of Nrork are now occupying the area in the south of Cillland, scouts report more orcs heading here from the south.
