Freya and The Crystal Caves

The legend of Freya and The Crystal Caves is a myth that is mostly known around the area of Laighenlia.

The legend says that many years ago, far away in the mountains to the east there was a place known as the Crystal Caves.
It is said those caves were filled with glowing crystals that gave off a light so bright, it could be seen from kilometers away. The locals believed that these crystals held great power and anyone who possessed them would be granted immense strength and wisdom.
Many brave adventurers set out to find these Crystal Caves but none returned.
It was whispered that the caves were guarded by a powerful water spirit who protected the crystals with its life. Some said the water spirit could speak and that it had the power to grant wishes to those who were worthy.
One day, a young warrior named Freya heard the tales of the Crystal Caves and decided to seek the water spirit out for herself. She travelled for weeks through treacherous mountains and dense forests, enduring all manner of hardships along the way. Finally she reached the entrance to the Crystal Caves, and there she found the water spirit waiting for her.
The water spirit, was ancient and wise, and she saw that Freya was a true warrior at heart. She offered to grand Freya one wish, but warned her that it would come with a great cost. Freya thought long and hard, and finally she made her wish. She asked that the water spirit gave her the power to defeat the greatest evil that threatened her land.
The water spirit granted Freya's wish, and the young warrior returned home a hero. She used her newfound strength to vanquish the dark forces that had threatened her people, and the land was at peace once more.
However upon returning, Freya found that her family home was nothing but a patch of grass and no one had ever heard of her parents or siblings, even family friends didn't remember them anymore.
So Freya went to seek out the water spirit once more, though she never returned.
