Giant cave spider

These feared creatures are rare and live in the cave layers of the world. They are as large as houses and string webs as large as the average farmers field.     When someone walks into or falls into a giant cave spider web they have little to no chance of survival.     Giant cave spiders prey on almost anything that they can get their hands on.

The dwarves sometimes use these beasts to make very expensive silk from their webs. Gathering the webs is a dangerous process as one can imagine.
