Uther worked most of his life as the bookkeeper of Forsingtuna. However after the war that took place, Esktria won and needed a Regent for the area until a proper lord takes ownership of it. Uther put his hand up and was deemed the person that is most fit to rule as Regent for the time being.
This pleased Uther greatly and so he enthusiastically took up the duties.
