He lives alone in The Northern Forest.  His parents were burned on the stake in 982 in Forsingtuna for praying to Beliar openly and refusing to stop.
Vaubadon fled into the forest vowing to take revenge. As he fled, he took his fathers prayer book from their home, which on the last quarter of the book includes various necromancy spells. Having been taught some basics of magic by his father, Vaubadon decided to use this book to learn the spells and use them for his revenge.
