War of Vengence
This conflict was started in the autumn of 447 by the Dwarves of Rikkanesh who declared war on the Elves of Bidelati.
Before the war, the Dwarves of the south and the Elves of the north lived in relative peace. They were even trading several times a year.
One day however, the Elves decided that the Dwarves were cutting too much wood for their liking and so sent a diplomat to put a limit on the amount of trees the Dwarves were allowed to cut per year.
The Dwarves simply sent the diplomat back saying that they "can not simply stop production for your quaint sensibilities, they are just trees after all".
The Elven King Cacame Aedan did not like this in the least. How dare the Dwarves, a to him lesser race, ignore his request and speak of nature like this.
This would not go unpunished.
One day, the Elven King decided to teach the Dwarves a lesson. He set up an ambush with his royal archers at the newest logging site of the Dwarves.
As soon as the Dwarves picked up their tools to start work for the day, the Elven archers started firing, killing many Dwarves. One of which was Tholig Brimfrost, the son of the Baron Izeg Brimfrost.
After hearing about the ambush that took place at the logging site and after recovering the body of his son Tholig, Izeg swore vengence. He would not stop until every elf had been removed from this area of the world.
After several months of mourning, Izeg the baron gathered his forces and sent a letter to the Elven King Cacame Aedan, declaring war.
