Turul
The turul bird is a mythological avian, originating from the tales of the nomadic folks, such as the centaur and the early human tribes. As far as public knowledge goes, it does not exist within the realms of the material, but beyond it is said to be the messenger, sometimes the avatar of angels and divine spirits, in service of the Pantheon. Legends say they appear before select champions, giving them instructions or boons to achieve their goal. Others also claim they work as the familiar to the wingless angels that wander the continent.

Appearance
The turul looks something resembling a hawk, but the size closer to an eagle. Great,, curved claws and colorful, frieze feathers. Each carries an item that resembles their deity.Usage
The turul shows itself in several zealotic crests and insignias of holy orders and priesthoods. It can also be found in the crest of Leonia. Nomadic tribes, such as the centaur of Etelkoz use decorated banners that resemble a bird, usually made from the corpse of an eagle. The turul rarely appears on flags used by civilized states - besides the insignias - except the followers of Hellfire, who illustrate the bird impaled by a spear.Controvercy
The turuls is heavily disputed as a heavenly symbol. It collides with more popular ones, such as the two headed eagle and the gryphon and its usage by barbaric and anti-pantheon usage - even as mockery in the latters case - led to a general dislike towards the symbolRemove these ads.
