The Great Houses of The Jade Dynasty

The Jade Emperor rules all land of the Summerwild, though he extends land to the Great Houses. This territory is essentially rented out to the Great Houses through taxes and loyalty. This does however grant the Great House a measure of freedom in policing its subjects and maintaining many of its traditions. These Great Houses tap into and monopolize certain pockets of powerful wellsprings of energy flowing in Auriga and bestow it on its most loyal and dedicated members called Drivers.
