Chronology

Aurum's annual orbit of its star is similar to real-world Earth. Like Earth, it is the 3rd planet in orbit of its Sun. There are a total of 18 planets in Aurum's Solar System. Like the planet itself and the moons Ferrous, Cyprus, and Natrius, the other 17 planets in the system are also named for the Giants of Olde.

The staggered orbit of Aurum's three moons creates particularly volatile ocean currents, slightly longer days (26 hours each) and long seasons that last the majority of each year, making it 'a spring year' or 'a winter year', for example.
