Elf

The Elves of Aurum are divided into three sub-species with very different cultures: High Elves, Wood elves, and Dark elves.

Basic Information

Biological Traits

Elves generally have slim, lithe bodies suited to quick and precise movements. They tend to have narrow shoulders, a slim waist, and long sinewy muscles. Male and female elves tend to be more androgynous than other species, as neither gender has facial or body hair, and the average vocal range is the same for both male and female elves.

Growth Rate & Stages

Starts puberty later (around age 20) and reaches physical maturity at about age 45.

Additional Information

Facial characteristics

Elves' most notable physical trait are their pointed ears, which are slightly oversized & very distinct in shape. Their facial features tend to be sharp and angular, with high cheekbones and thin faces.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

  • High elves tend to do well in cloudy or cold environments, and are predominantly found in both the tundra of Lorandel & the rainy isles of Irisdel.
  • Wood Elves are well suited to warm geographic environments, and trace their ancestry to the jungle metropolis of Talondel.
  • Dark elves are rarely seen outside the volcanic caldera city of Ownydel where their ancestors took refuge.
