Erudite

The Erudite people are regarded as some of the most spiritual in Aurum due to the unusual way they perceive the world.

Biological Traits

Erudite have nearly the same proportions as humans, but they tend to have slender limbs, less prominent noses, and slightly larger heads.

Facial characteristics

All Erudite have completely black eyes with no visible pupils or irises.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

The Ziggurat cities of Faruut & Ajjmiir are ancestral homes to the Erudite people, but Qutpast was also founded by Erudite traders.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Their specialized eyes detect both Light and Aura in equal amounts, and merge the two different kinds of input together. Because of this ability to see aura (including one’s own), even Erudite children are naturally more skilled in magic than some adults of other species. This also allows them to perceive (but not necessarily communicate with) Ghosts & Spirits.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking

Dark, cool-colored skin (such as bluish-gray, purple, green, or midnight blue). Almost all erudite have black hair, but some have dark or reddish brown hair.
