Were
All of the Were-clans are humanoid beast-folk, evolved from and resembling the beast of their clansake: the beasts that their ancestors were. They live by the law of the Beast Totems that they worship, each paying homage in their individual cultures to the way of the Beast from which they were born.
Each Clan is descended from a single category of beast, with no significant labels applied to subspecies thereof. Two Were-Bears may have resemble different types of bears (such as a Grizzly or Polar bear), but they are both simply members of the Bear clan. There's a tremendous amount of variance in size & coloration simply between two members of the same Clan; making the Were-clans the most widely varied sapient species in Aurum. The totem of each Were-clan is a terrestrial, mammalian creature. Some of the most populace Were-clans include:

Additional Information
Geographic Origin and Distribution
The Were-clans of Aurum once could be found in small villages all over the world. When the Titanspawn re-emerged, many fled to the Moot-site of Vrask to seek aid, and have remained there since.
Civilization and Culture
Major Organizations
The Kithmoot (or simpy the Moot) is a gathering of every Were-clan's Leaders or representatives, held three times annually in the Ancestral Mootsite: Vrask. At these meetings, they propose new laws, trade agreement, and address the concerns of the common folk in a public forum. Though they historically welcomed Kith from all walks of life into the Moot, it has become increasingly rare for Non-Weres to be a part of the meetings.
Major Language Groups and Dialects
Each Were-clan has their own particular dialect of Werespeech. They use almost identical written elements, but the spoken language varies widely between each subspecies.
Common Taboos
Traditionally, the Were-clans view the interbreeding of two different species (even other Were-clans) as a dishonor to one's Totem, and a forbidden act on par with incest.
