Stay clear of the North Pole unless you have appropriate clothing - its temperatures reach almost minus forty, with wind chills so cold your beak might drop off.
Northern Folk
The very northernmost point of Asadela just about covers the North Pole. They hold this title with great pride and have turned the venture to the North Pole into a massive tourist
trap attraction.
History
Being one of the oldest countries in the world has certainly not benefitted it. While the entire history of Asadela is fragmented, with entire centuries left unanswered and shrouded in mystery, many records show Asadela being in constant conflict with itself for hundreds of years.
Glacin
Farahia, but way colder
Approaching the freezing North Pole, just west of Farahia, is Glacin. This chilling continent is covered in ice and frozen plains, and it never seems to stop snowing. More than that, giant aurora grace the skies every single night, dancing above the lands.

Asadela was formed before Glacin was universally considered its own continent. Roughly two thousand years ago people from around the icy region gathered in what is now modern-day
Glascaria. Flocks in their thousands all migrated to this region to admire the icy auroras flickering in the skies every night. Cultures throughout the region centralised around these auroras, and Asadela was born.
This region was declared roughly 1,800 years ago. According to scattered texts from around this time, only three other countries existed at this point. The country declared itself its own state with the creation of its own
Hope Beacon. A Hope Beacon is the deciding factor in creating a country - this monumental landmark is placed in the center of a future country, and if a defined region is formed, contains a permanent population, and has a functioning government or something similar, it can be declared a country. Or so, this is how they claim countries are formed. Some countries were formed with the promise of free food.
I solemnly promise to export free powderpuff balls to all allies, if we are declared a legal and official country.

Asadelan Culture
Family and friendship is the most important thing to Asadelans. Prepare for cuddle-fights and town-wide huddles regularly, and prepare even more as the native sphenisci rarely wear clothes. Asadelans are very fluffy people with thick feathers to conserve heat, and despite the sub-zero temperatures, clothing can overheat them.

Mmmm, Food
Food is also very importnat to Asadelans. The culinary scene in this country is bustling, some of the biggest restaurants attracting culinary students from around the world.
Powderpuff balls are the regional dish of Asadela (and Gelan), both countries producing an obscene amount of these delicious foods.
Farming Culture
Another popular industry is the farming industry. Gigantic ranches sprawling across acres of land grow an incredible variety of rare crops, endemic to this country and continent.
Icy carrots,
snowball swedes, and
frostomatoes are just some of the delicious fruits and vegetables grown in Asadela.
The south and west of the country contain the majority of Asadelan farmlands. These farmers think very highly of their crops and regularly participate in the
Plot Market.
Oooooh!! I love the cozy and fluffy vibe of the chilly place! I want to visit the tourist trap and see the cheesy person behind it!
Thank you! <3
