Crown of Candles

The Crown of Candles is a precious artifact discovered years ago. It serves as the only proof of the Candalan Empire that supposedly ruled over ancient Glacin. The crown resides in a museum in Asadela, locked behind several barriers as one of the collection's most prized relics.

Lost Empire

Even the most renowned empirologists have no concrete knowledge on the Candalan Empire, only that it may have existed. The Crown of Candles is at least two thousand years old, and in a pristine condition for something so old.   The empire must have spanned thousands of miles, dominating the glacial continent. The crown was discovered at the very North Pole, now a tourist destination.

Simple Design

The Crown of Candles is far too big to be worn by anyone in modern times. A large gold-tipped wooden circlet features twenty large candles. Large crystalline structures decorate the bases of these candles, in all shapes and colours, with no identifiable pattern or sequence.   Two sphenisci could fit their heads inside this crown, with extra space still. The size of this crown suggests this Empire had a ruler of gigantic proportions. That, or it was not designed to be worn.
So we don't actually know much about the Candalan Empire. We don't know who lived in it, who ruled it, how long it existed for, where it existed, why it existed, how it came to be, literally all we have gone off is this crown. Is it a bit excessive? Maybe. But at least we're not believers of the Sordeni Empire. They have no proof, at all. Silly people.
