Tyri Fulmark. As famous as he is infamous. While many questioned his involvement with the Joron Expedition that set out to find answers to the tragedy that befell Zion, he has himself stated that some of those legendary adventurers were his friends and that they all used to travel around in their youth.
His most famous work includes the results of that expedition; The Fulmark Histories of Zion, Jewel of the Whites. It is a 34-volume chronicle that is considered one of few true recollections of what occurred there. During his time, Tyri took great care to preserve letters, diaries, and other written stories left behind by those who fled or perished when the hells broke through. There is also a 7-volume supplement to the “Histories” which accounts for eyewitness recollections from those who survived the initial collapse and assault.
Background
In 138 CE, Tyri Fulmark would be 457 years old. He is a rock gnome from the eastern side of Ala who came to Farstead as a young man when his home was destroyed by a mysterious earthquake. He comes from wealth, and as a lone child, he became very spoiled and bratty. Always given everything he wanted, it was a rude awakening when his home was destroyed and he found out that not everyone would be as accommodating as his little village had been. Quite by accident, he fell in with a strange group of misfits and together they traveled the continent, and even other corners of the world, becoming heroes and legends. As they were older, some of the group invited Tyri to join the Joron Expedition to Zion in the Araxi Whites to figure out why what happened could have happened. Aside from his chronicle, he remained tight-lipped about what they learned there. For someone who has been known to let slip what he shouldn't, this is uncharacteristic of the tattle-tale Tyri Fulmark who made his living on singing secrets and ballads.
He has long, wavy, now white hair and green eyes. His weathered skin is tanned and he has a sharp, incredibly beautiful face with a well-trimmed beard. He is almost always dressed in a comfy-looking shirt with an adorned blue vest slung over it. He stands about 3'3'' tall and is of a muscular build. Far more athletic than one would expect of a gnome, not to mention a bard.
It is not uncommon to find him scribbling in his notes, or bursting out in a song after an ale or two. His voice is beautiful, velvety tenor with a slight vibrato that tends to draw big crowds.
