The Mogrhog Marauders
Possibly the most infamous band of thieves west of the Western Spine, the Mogrhog Marauders menace the Elmisle Wood. Under Chieftain Mogrhog, these Orcs, Orogs and Ettins pillage whatever unfortunate souls cross their path, murdering lonesome merchants and raiding small villages/farms/outposts (you get the idea). Thanks to these bastards, not a single soul wandering the Gremlin Path at night doesn't fear for their life.
The structure of the tribe is borrowed from the Agren Orcs in the Badlands, with the Goltragga (leader) of the tribe being chosen as a spiritual leader as well as a military leader (so not always the most skilled warrior in the tribe). In this case, Mogrhog the Wise was chosen for his wisdom (no way) and ability to make rational decisions that would benefit the Marauders. At the Goltragga's side is the Golzarga - this is usually the position of the most skilled warrior. Mogrhog's second in command is Raktorh, a Tanarukk (half Orc, half Tiefling) barbarian known for his brutal methods of slaughtering his enemies with his spiked maul. Raktorh is also the leader of the Voshu, a council of 11 tribe Elders that influence Mogrhog's decisions and the direction of the tribe.
A few weeks ago, the Marauders got involved in a skirmish with the ghost of Davy Drax of the Harbinger II over a rumour that he was harbouring an ancient artefact. So, being the thieves that they are, a bandit party led by Raktorh crossed the Canapt Rise and infiltrated the remains of the airship. Many lost their lives to the ghosts and the creatures that lurked there, though the toughest of the Orcs made it out alive with the artefact in hand.
