Silver

Weapons and ammo can be coated in silver by crafters. Silvered weapons are weapons that are plated with silver, not made out of silver. Silver is a soft metal, meaning a sword or arrowhead made from pure silver would break or chip quickly in a fight. However, by coating a weapon in silver, it gets the benefits of the iron or steel’s rigidity, but the also properties of being silvered. There is a long history of using silver weapons against certain monsters that are susceptible to silver. A non-master crafter can silver weapons and armor, but takes twice as long to silver than it would take a master crafter.
