Abenaki will generally use the name of their clan as their surname. The major tribes of the Anastasian desert that are of Abenaki origin are the Walachi Tribe, the Aktun Tribe, and the Sahan Clan, with the once-great Aljebar Clan having been wiped out in recent history. Some Abenaki will take the surnames of non-Abenaki they marry, while some have noble titles they use as surnames (i.e. al-Khalid, "the Eternal", or al-Salab, "the Marauder").
