Besmara

The Wayward Maiden

Once a mermaid wandering the Cerulean Sea, Besmara stumbled upon a ring capable of manipulating the fabric of reality in the sunken wreckage of an ancient ship. Using this ring, Besmara underwent a transformation, turning herself into an almighty siren and granting herself immense power, rivaling that of some of the most prominent archfey and demigods.
Besmara is a vain and greedy woman who seeks to obtain new artifacts to grow her power and mortals to satisfy her lust. Residing in a treasure-filled grotto hidden along the coast of San Torin, she and her mermaid daughters are known by seafarers for luring sailors into their domain. They feast on the flesh of those they see unworthy and spare only the most charismatic and physically attractive visitors. Survivors are either kept for their entertainment or thrust back into Avalor with newfound power and a promise to do her bidding.
Appearance. Many visitors mistake Besmara for an angel or some sort of harpy; she is a smug elven woman of otherworldly beauty with long dark hair, smooth tanned skin, piercing blue eyes, and a hypnotizing voice. She has long lost her mermaid form, instead sporting legs and a pair of angelic wings.
