Takaroa

The Scion of Oblivion

Long ago, Takaroa was a loyal servant of Tharizdun. Before his imprisonment in the Abyss, the Chained Oblivion embedded a shard of evil in Takaroa’s body, granting him a fragment of his twisted power. With his master gone, Takaroa fled to the Elemental Plane of Water and slumbered for millennia, suffering from illusions of grandeur and mad claims of godhood spawned by the shard of evil.   Within the last century, he slipped through a planar rift and has since been plotting evil schemes from beneath the Cerulean Sea. Takaroa was discovered and vanquished by a band of adventurers, but he still clings to life, weakened and slumbering in the depths of a flooded caldera in Punta Thera. He’ll stop at nothing to claim dominion of the sea and its lost souls from his arch rival, Umberlee, going so far as to gift small portions of his eldritch power to estranged sailors in exchange for doing his bidding and helping him restore his physical form.   Appearance. Takaroa's coiled and twisted body is hideously monstrous and somewhat alien, being neither fully fish, eel, or octopus; he is some foul amalgamation of all three. He has the lower body of an eel, a horrific fish-like face, and ten massive tentacles capable of crushing the hull of a galleon with ease.
