Scrying Mirror is cracked but not missing
Alister discovered that in his attempt to rid himself of his connection with Talmok, he had his consciousness hijacked and not only sent the stardust away to an unknown location, but also stole from the party.
In the moment where he figured this out, there was a voice in his head “We made a deal. If you will not honor your end of the bargain, there will be consequences.” Now, he can't cast any of the spells that he didn't get from Talmok. All of his original magic and the connection that he has forged to the arcane, is gone or being blocked by something. It gives off similar vibes to the blockage that comes when trying to read or gain information about the Harbingers.
Fyuna is really ticked off at Alister for stealing a key component to the spell to break her curse.
Gek got a letter from his boss telling him that he needed to help the Eberen captain at all costs, but he can't get a reason why because it is above his clearance level. Phoenix confided in Alister that he is also having some trouble with his powers and connecion with his patron. Bombena and Caloden went to the castle to find out more information about Cyran and his relationship with Kaleigha.
Bombena went to talk to Kaleigha. She discovered that Kaleigha is receiving funds for her research from the Suncrest family and that Cyran is kind of the intermediary between Kaleigha and his father. It seems that Aya and the Suncrests both seem to have similar interests in these ancient cities, and while they both help fund her, any time she reports what advancements she has made in her research to Aya, it is like she forgets what she has discovered or there are some major mental blocks and brain fog that needs to be navigated before more advancements can be made. From what Kaleigha is aware of, it doesn't seem like Aya and the Suncrests are too aware of each other. She also is continually trying to seduce Cyran in some way and went down to the kitchens to try to find some of the spicy dumplings that he seemed fond of during the ball.
Caloden went and snuck around He went and found the room where Cyran was staying and discovered that it seemed like he stayed there often. Often enough that he had a plaque on the door with his name on it. The plaque is removable for other guests, but instead of one that was made out of parchment, his seems to be made out of brass. Indicating that he comes her fairly often. There was a broom closet with a window near his room that Caloden used as an entry point to jump out of the closet window and onto the suite balcony. He made it but just barely. After sneaking around the suite, he found an official looking letter written in celestial and a small pocketbook that was hidden in the desk. The pocketbook was written in Infernal. Caloden almost got caught as Cyran came in while he was snooping around and Caloden swan dove out of the window and proceeded to break his prosthetic in the process.
