General Summary

Caloden somewhat fixed his arm after the fall Went immediately to Bombena to get the book translated from Abyssal, she had no idea what it meant as it was in code and he rolled high enough on an investigation check to find the keyword. He wasn't able to decode the letter because literally no one in the party can read celestial. Which is a clerical error on the part of Phoenix. As soon as he read the whole thing, he got everyone down for a “family meeting” and told them that they had to evacuate like right that second because Cyran knew who they were and that they were there. Then Cyran knocked on the door and Caloden bolted up the stairs Cyran talked with Bombena for a bit and then called Caloden back down, who was going through a worst case scenario in his head. Cyran knew that Caloden took the journal and Caloden tried to figure out how much cyran thought that caloden knew Cyran offered Alister a job/threatened him if he didn't come with him Insert record scratch when Alister said he would go with him We need to talk about Alister and make sure he’s okay. Cyran figured out that Caloden cracked the code. Caloden figured out that they were doing some kind of big spell and that lord and lady suncrest were playing a major role in it He’s BSing a lot of it but is trying to unnerve him so much by trying to get him to believe that he knew more than Cyran was planning on and sent the message along. Caught him way off guard with some of it, “Quit your shaking boy and answer me.” “You know about me, more than I would like, and I know more about you and your family’s plans than you would like. Do not do me the discourtesy of treating me as someone who is beneath you.” Cyran says that his role in his parents was appointed to him by the gods and his pride starts to get the better of him “It may have been directed by the gods, and yet a cripled old gnome was able to sneak under your nose and steal your secrets from you.” While this is happening, Alister is packing and his amulet starts going off with like a proximity alarm because of Cyran Broke Bombena’s heart by saying that her letter and romantic interest was of no concern to him and that he was feigning interest to figure out what she knew. Inferring that there was more about her that she didn't know about herself. “Tell me, once your done building whatever body you're building for your god, is it your parents’ blood that will allow for him to walk through the door? You think you can drive the dagger down and finish the job?” “No, but the blood of your family will suffice.” Initiative. Caloden gets the poetic HDYWTDT: cuts off his necrotic shroud as he ran up his back and then dual stabs him in the neck. Some of Cyran’s “essence” went into Alister’s amulet. Gek confronts caloden about killing a diplomat and they had a little tiff. Caloden summons Chiruk. Bombena detected good and evil on his amulet and found that the power behind it is surprisingly celestial in nature but the actual source isn't fully located. It's like it's on this plane but not. Alister suggested that the group kills him to get rid of the connection if it comes down to him or the universe. The group immediately shoots that down. “I have a body for you to collect. Immediately.” Caloden dragged him downstairs and threw him towards the body and threw the journal at him. “You did not do a good job. He knew who I was, where I was, he knew my name. He knew my family’s names!” “We have had eyes on him specifically for months. He couldn't have known. It's not possible.” “Then you need to get them somewhere safe. This is not you as a group, this is not the royal you! You! Chiruk. Get them somewhere safe. Or I will.” “I will move them now” “You are the only one to know where they go.” He gives his arm to Chiruk and tells him to get it to Laila and get it fixed and upgraded. Bombena doesn't know who she is and the group might not know who she is either. It's not a psychic block, more like physical amnesia. Her earliest memory is from a few years ago. They left immediately after discussing Bombena’s memories and went back to Arcane Curiosities to regroup and talk to Aya.
