Luna
This is Avanima's primary moon and a significant part of many cultures, rituals, and systems. It is the basis for the calendar system, so much so that the name for months is lunas.
According to legend, Luna was so important that even the gods themselves recognized its potential. When they came in their boats from mystical deep heaven, the Gods of the First Pantheon decided to establish a permanent kingdom on Luna, the great city of Luminos, from which to observe and guide the Avani. Some lucky, particularly distinguished individuals were even taken to this wondrous place, which they described as beyond comprehension to mere mortals when they returned. At this time Luna even had plants and animals growing on it in a paradise cultivated by the gods. However, it didn't last. When The Torrent struck, the Demons that followed the gods from deep heaven turned their weapons against the paradise on Luna and annihilated it all. From that point on the moon was left a desolate, cratered plain of nothingness that glows white in the night sky.
Of course, this myth about Luna has been mostly dismissed by serious academics as a way for primitive tribes to explain why Luna appears so lifeless. That said, with a telescope one can see what looks like the ruins of a silver city in one of the craters...
Geography
Sadly, if the myths about Luna have any bearing about its past fertility, in the present day it is nothing but a lifeless rock. Grey sand and rocks cover its surface, while craters indicate centuries of bombardment from external sources. There are the remains of a strange city on it, but it is in ruins and those who created it are long gone.
