The Aelvari of Asunar believe in the tale of Asuryan. That when their bodies turn to Crystal their souls will be reincarnated into a new generation. However should they allow themselves to fall to the their mana cravings their souls will be forfeit.
Due to this the Asunar practice rigorous self discipline in the use of mana lest they devolve into mana hungry beasts and face true oblivion.
