The Paragon
The grandest and most advanced ship in the Imperial Fleet, The Paragon was instrumental in breaking the blockades of the enemy during the last great war and led the charge of the newly formed council armada.
Constructed by the finest artisans in the Valgardian Empire along with their new allies, the Sparkhaven Gnomes the Paragon boasts an unmatched arsenal of cannons, ballista and a priceless, Avarite spell amplifier for Arcane Warfare.
The Paragon is one of the only ships on the seas capable of warding against some of the larger marine predators. When crewed by a cabal sufficiently powerful mages using the Avarite spell amplifier it is capable of conjuring a Maelstorm that can crush creatures and enemy ships alike.
Its deck contains one of only a dozen teleportation circles in council territory, making it possible to call reinforcements mid engagement for boarding actions and strikes against enemy strongholds.
When not on active duty the Paragon patrolled the bay of kings out of Ironport and keeps the sailing lanes from Asunar and Valgarde clear of beasts or raiders.
To the citizens of Valgarde, The Paragon is a symbol of victory and the might of their unified Empire. To the gnomes of Sparkhaven, it represents a technological marvel and bar against which young ambitious gnomes set themselves, in the hope of outdoing those that came before.
