Hendrig City

A safe haven for all.

During the cataclysmic attack, causing the world to enter a new age, the world started to fissure and demons and unknown entities seeped from the holes. A city in Hendrig was where most of the population fled to for security. Over the years, the city grew larger and larger, defending from attacks.   The sheer size of the city, near quarter of the size of their country Hendrig, has dubbed it as "Hendrig City".   The city is divided into their own districts, each surrounded by their own reinforced walls with large gates for easy transportation.

Government

The government is ruled over by a monarch, loved by all. The laws are quite forgiving, in terms of petty crimes, any other crime can and will be punished with the necessary force required.   Murderers will be executed publicly, thieves will have a joint of a finger cut off, treason is responded to with exile, terrorism is responded to with the deadly force of the local defence.   An exception can be determined to any crime if the defendant surrenders. The defendant will be marked as an outlaw, branded on their face to mark them, and the law will no longer apply to them, but will no longer be under protection by the law.   Taxes are nearly none existant in this city, citizens are only required to defend their district and repair and build themselves. Walls are built by the best workers in the city. Builders are paid lots of money for their work, due to the size and toughness of the walls. Profits from any store or business is required to give 5% of profits to the government to help pay for supplies for troops and the walls.   To supply the walls building, there is a district solely designated to create the needed supplies. Factories heavily populate this area, and workers are supplied necessary living conditions either nearby or in the factories.

Defences

Strong walls around every district. Size and strength differ from district to district. Richer and important district walls can have armed soldiers stationed on top.

Infrastructure

Around all districts are large strong walls, and around the whole city are even larger and tougher walls. Rich and essential districts are surrounded by the toughest and tallest of walls, middle class areas surrounded by normal walls, and poor/slum districts are surrounded by normal/damaged walls.   Large sewers are spread throughout the whole city.

Some districts are hilly, lots go through plains and forests, few are on mountains, most of the city is surrounded by the Barren Abyss.
