Five of the experimental subjects in the Deadwater Laboratory (Idris, Zero, Qi, Mo, and Lorena) are gathered and informed of their having been drafted into the war between Fallencall and Ravenyard/Barrenbreak. They begin their trials to raise their strength in order to fight on the battlefields.
