Biography

Bold, brash, and rambunctious, Anak is everything an Air Nomad should not be. Further damaging to the Air Nomad stereotype, Anak is a rather large fellow for having an almost exclusively vegetarian diet. More than a few of his Air Nomad superiors suspect Anak sneaks things other than vegetables into his mouth. He is not fat, but by no means is he skinny. His large frame seems to amplify his voice to be much louder and clearer than most his age (or any age for that matter). Perhaps his loud voice has to do something with his Air-Bending abilities...
Always with a smile on his face, Anak never lets any mean comments about his size from his peers get to him. When Anak is not training in his Air Bending with the other Air Nomad kids, he can be found in the great libraries of the Northern Air Temple always with his nose in a book or scroll. While other Air Nomads Anak's age typically excel at their bending practice and fall short in their studies, Anak is the opposite - he excels in his studies and falls short in his bending practice. However, the Master Air-Benders know that this is not a disadvantage for Anak. In fact, it could be quite the opposite. If Anak is able to convert his excellent ability to learn into an excellent ability to bend, Anak will be well on his way to becoming one of the greatest Air-Benders in history.
But, Anak is still a long ways off from fully realizing his potential. He has much to learn still when it comes to bending, and it is not clear if Anak is even suitable to be an Air Nomad at all. He has been warned that if he does not cut down on his unapproved eating practices, he won't be allowed to become an Air Nomad. Most threatening to Anak if this happens is the fact he will be cut off from going to the Great Libraries of the Air Nomads. So, Anak waits, hoping that someone will free him from his strict lifestyle as an Air Nomad, something it seems Anak is not cut out to be...
