Bilis (Bee-Liss)

The Rabaroo Spirit

Bilis is an NPC that cannot be fought on its own; to fight, it must manifest itself within its host, Don Malakas   Bilis is a Herald of Chaos that resides in the Earth Kingdom territories. A greedy spirit, its alliance its only with itself and not the other Heralds nor Vaatu. Its goal is to have power and influence over Omashu, because its outlying forests are hospitable for spirits.   At some point Avatar Wan was able to seal Bilis within its Shard of Chaos, making him dormant and incapable of finding a host to exude its chaos. The gem would eventually be put on a gold band. Millenia later, Don Malakas' great grandfather would win the gem through gambling. Though Bilis was sealed, his presence as a spirit still still shifted the balance in the Omashu lands, making the soil more fertile and hospitable. Thus, the Reployo Family was able to make a fortune, not knowing that their luck was a result of Bilis' dormant influence.   The Reployo Family would pass down the ring through generations to its Head of The Family. Don Malakas would behold it in 295 BG, when Jianzhu visits him along with another Herald, Okizumi, The Elephantrat spirit. Okizumi would awaken Bilis and tell its plans for secret world domination, promising it a reach of power within Omashu. Bilis would then awaken and possess Don Malakas as its host.   Bilis, however, never cared about The Herald's purpose. Yun would visit Malakas and Bilis to ask them to join the doomsday cult, The Celestials, to gather other Heralds. Bilis and Malakas refused, wanting no part in The Zodiac Inquisition, only wanting to rule Omashu without feeling servitude to the Chaos and Vaatu himself. Thus, Bilis and Malakas were a target of both The Heralds and The Celestials for not aligning with their causes.   At 293 BG, The New Flying Opera Company sent a group of young outlaws to take Bilis' shard from Malakas' ring, not knowing they are bonded.
