Episode 12: Exes and Woes

Kit and Jax escort Zhuan to the royal banquet. When they arrive, Zhuan is stunned when he sees that his father is also in attendance. Because he used his identity as a Beifong to get in, he leaves the banquet to avoid suspicion. 
Meanwhile, Jax and Kit make new disguises to blend in with the crowd. There, Jax bumps into his former lover, Qi-Rah, who acts warmly, despite their history. Kit also meets Niya, a Waterbender, who sees through his disguise. When the four connect on the dance floor, Nika and Qi-Rah reveal themselves as a couple, much to the surprise of Jax and Kit. Jax carelessly tells the two that they need their help to pull off the heist, and the ladies excuse themselves as Kit and Jax reconvene. 
Suddenly, Fengyu arrives at the palace and declares herself Avatar Kyoshi. She meets Kit and Jax and they are confused about why she is here, and Fengyu reveals that she is the secret drag identity of Zhuan. 
Fengyu, posing as Kyoshi, is forced by the crowd to speak to the queen directly, but not before telling Kit and Jax to scope the area. Jax goes to the western part of the palace to find the living quarters of the servants, where Tomomi and Satomi are supposed to arrive. There, he meets Niya again, who reveals herself to be a bloodbender. She says that she's seen Kit with Satomi, who she reveals is a former lover. She interrogates him on their business and relationship before she puts Kit to sleep with blood bending. 
Meanwhile, Jax walks to the western part of the building towards the mail room, where Ishiko and Rishi are supposed to come in from using the secret tunnels under the Repolyo Compound. On his way, he notices Omashu Guards have been knocked out. Qi-Rah reveals herself and electrocutes Jax, who is knocked out. 
When he wakes up, Jax is interrogated by Qi-Rah about his mission. She reveals that she is also here for the ring. Meanwhile, Kit is woken up by Zhuan, still dressed as "Kyoshi." Zhuan tells him to go in search of Jax, who may be in trouble, as the two realize the palace has been infiltrated by spies. 
Jax runs into Zhuan's father, who is drunk, and begins to vent about how much he misses his son. He gets away and finds the scene of the Omashu Guard being knocked out. Suddenly, Niya appears and bloodbends the guards to force them to fight Jax. 
Qi-Rah hears the commotion outside and leaves Jax to investigate. There, she witnesses Jax bend some juice he found on the table towards Niya to blind her. The juice, however, is revealed to be pomegranate juice, which Niya is allergic to. The two escape while Kit finds Jax to free him. 
Suddenly, Ishiko and Rishi burst in through the mail tunnel.
