Episode 20: The Intruders

A day after they arrive in the Avatar Mansion, tensions are still high between the strangers. Rishi has spent his time reflecting through meditation and painting, while Ishiko has let his frustration out through training. Tomomi, restless from the loss of Satomi, has been resting for a day. Cobra Lily was imprisoned in the crystal dungeon along with the Don, whose bending has been removed since the Herald was exorcised from him. 
Zhuan visits Cobra Lily in her cell and asks if there's anything she needs, which she denies. The Don, antsy to get out of their imprisonment, attempts to bribe her for his freedom, but she refuses. Suddenly, a trio of Sandbenders wearing the Celestial Emblem appears. They were not noticed by anyone as they traveled using a unique Sandbending move that shifts their balance in the air by gliding through sand, making their movement quiet and precise. The leader recognizes Cobra Lily and tells her that he is there to rescue her. However, once she confirms they have not learned anything from her in interrogation, he admits that he just wanted confirmation that there wasn't a leak before carrying out his true mission: to assassinate Cobra Lily and remove the liability. 
The Desperate Don pleads with them to free him, but instead, they stuff him with sand, killing him slowly. Cobra Lily is able to trick the Sandbenders into freeing her by promising the shards for them, but she instead uses the small Omashroom cluster on the dungeon ground to make everyone in the cell high. A short but humorous battle ensues. 
Ishiko is able to sense movement from underground, and he goes to investigate. He is followed by Rishi and Tomomi secretly, but they are spotted by Zhuan, who was on his way to visit Cobra Lily again. Together, the group makes their way to the dungeon through the kitchen, but the Omashroom spores immediately leak, making Rishi and Ishiko high. Tomomi and Zhuan are able to avoid it with acrobatics, and Zhuan runs to put the Avatar Mansion on lockdown and on high alert. The group ventures into the dungeon. 
There, they witness a pathetic and humorous exchange of blows between the Sandbenders and Cobra Lily. Ishiko immediately restrains her, seeing she's trying to escape. Tomomi brings them mochi from the kitchen to remove the effects of the Omashroom, and they trick the Sandbenders into imprisoning themselves with food. 
Zhuan arrives and sees the ordeal, and screams when he says the dead Don Malakas.

EPISODE SUMMARY:

• Celestial Sandbenders infiltrate the Avatar Mansion, planning on killing Cobra Lily, who they've deemed a liability. They are able to kill Don Malakas. 
• Cobra Lily tricks them into freeing her and uses Omashrooms to incapacitate them. 
• The Strangers trick the Sandbenders into imprisoning themselves.
