Episode 4: The Challenge

Ishiko uses Earthbending to dematerialize the earth and free the Kyoshi Warriors from the ground. Fengyu, panicked, runs to Tomomi for the antidote for Kala's wound. Kala and the Kyoshi Warriors are taken to the infirmary, while Rangi explains to Satomi that the escape room and the battle were all a test to see if they have what it takes for the mission ahead. After the exchange, the five strangers rest in the Avatar Mansion. 
In the morning, Ishiko wakes up early to train the courtyard. Meanwhile, Jax and Kit leave Yakoya Port to look for Ko, who has wandered off on his own to the ocean. Upon waking up, Aoshi greets Satomi and Ishiko good morning, and Zhuan enters their shared room with breakfast. He also introduces them to Master Rishi, a mysterious Air Nomad, who will join them on their mission. 
The group heads to the banquet hall where they are met by Rangi and Kala. Rangi explains to the group that Cabbage Day in Omashu is only a few days away. The group also finds out that Rangi is the girlfriend of Avatar Kyoshi. Upon finding this out, Ishiko challenges Rangi to a duel. 
Ishiko bends a coliseum around them while Zhuan and the rest of the strangers watch the match. Ishiko begins the battle by steadying himself on the ground, while Rangi flies into the air using her White Firebending. Ishiko uses the piece of the roof from the Avatar Mansion once again to Earthbend Rangi into the ground, then bends the ground around her to sink her. Rangi uses her Firebending to free herself, then attacks Ishiko with a combination of martial arts and Firebending, incapacitating him and ending the duel. 
As the match ends, Tomomi and Satomi stand by Ishiko and carry him to the infirmary together.
